Thank you to our Americanism chairperson Spunky Gray for
submitting to the Florence City Council for consideration this
proclamation proclaiming Patriots Week to be September 10th thru the 16th. The proclamation was formally signed by Florence Mayor Rob Ward and was picked up by our Exalted Ruler Donna Smith at the city council meeting on September 11th.

For the second year in a row, The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #1858 would like to thank the community and The Siuslaw News for voting us First Place in the "Best of Service Club" category. Building strong communities is one of our focus areas. It is with the help of everyone in the community that we can provide the help and support needed to keep our local area alive and vibrant.
